Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA)

2007-08 funding - $26.6 million

The AFA supports the development of the arts and film production sectors in Alberta by providing financial assistance to artists, arts organizations and Alberta film producers. Through its programs, the AFA supports public access to the arts, and assists in creating opportunities for young Albertans to participate in the arts.

Types of Grants:

The foundation provides grants to organizations and individuals involved in the performing, literary and visual arts, cultural industries and film production companies. Types of grants include organization operational funding, film production assistance and project support. Application deadlines vary between grant programs.
