The goal of the ASRPWF is to provide financial assistance in support of sport, recreation, parks and wildlife activities in Alberta.

Types of Grants:

Operational and project funding is provided to Alberta's provincial sport, recreation, parks and wildlife initiatives. Annual operating support is provided to provincial sport, recreation, fitness and active living organizations. The Development Initiatives Program provides support to Albertans working in the areas of sport, recreation, parks and wildlife for project and program related endeavors at the regional and provincial level. The Hosting Program encourages the development of youth in sport, recreation, parks and wildlife and promotes economic growth in Alberta. The Sport Participation Initiative Program provides support for the development and operation of programs designed to enhance participation in sport for under-represented groups such as girls and women, aboriginal people, economically disadvantaged persons, and persons with disabilities. The foundation also provides grants to assist Alberta team participation in national and international events, to support event hosting, and for the development of coaches and officials. Application deadlines vary between programs.
