Thousands of groups across the province receive funding through the Alberta Lottery Fund every year. Generally, in order to qualify for funding from the programs and foundations listed below, organizations must be a registered charitable or non-profit organization and meet the specific eligibility guidelines of the program or foundation they are applying to. Click on the logos below for more information about lottery-funded programs or foundations.


Provides support for project-based initiatives in areas such as community services, seniors' services, libraries, arts and culture, sports, education, health and recreation.


Provides support to the expansion and upgrading of Alberta's extensive network of community-use facilities.


Provides support to worthy Alberta projects which cannot be funded under the criteria or existing funding levels of other Alberta Lottery Fund grant programs. Through this program, support may also be provided to national and international projects, such as disaster relief initiatives.

Alberta Sport Connection

Provides support to sport, and active living activities in Alberta.

Alberta Historical Resources Foundation

Provides support to community-based heritage initiatives in Alberta.


Provides support to artists, arts organizations and film producers in Alberta.
Provides support to organizations wishing to foster equality and reduce discrimination in Alberta.
